The lacquered seat is connected to a chromium-plated steel stem, which usually acts as a shock absorber in farm machinery. Here, it is bent in the opposite direction, bringing a sense of movement to the stool. A steam-treated beech footrest stabilises the Mezzadoro, adding a compelling contrast to its more industrial elements and referencing its agricultural concept.
Playful and experimental, this iconic Zanotta piece is available in a selection of bold and conservative colours.
