Wästberg's W151 Pendant Series is based on the most basic on geometrical shapes - the cone.
Pendant shades have particular significance the home, beyond providing light they also shape and direct it, affecting the atmosphere of a room. In fact, the classic lampshade shape evolved in response to this. Its optimum size and shape perfectly encases the traditional light bulb and directs the light.
The emergence of LED technology has freed the size and shape of a lampshade from this restriction, resulting in an explosion of exciting alternative designs. The W151 Pendant Series is Claesson Koivisto Rune's interpretation of this exciting shift in archetypes. By playing with scale and simplicity of form, they have created a dramatic, yet refined design. Made from manufactured, spun aluminium.
