The Vitra Grand Relax is a compact yet inviting lounge chair designed by Antonio Citterio.

The Grand Relax lounge chair has a classic, understated shape and a minimal footprint; it is perfect for compact spaces. When sitting down, you slowly sink into the cushions while a concealed integrated mechanism absorbs your weight, moving the chair into a gently reclined position. This Vitra lounge chair can be locked in place for stability, and an adjustable dial controls the resistance to movement. The seat and backrest are synchronised but move independently to provide a highly adaptive and comfortable experience. The four-star aluminium base rotates by 360 degrees for maximum flexibility.

Antonio Citterio has carefully selected from Vitra's high-quality leather and fabric collection for the range. The lower half of the outer shell is covered with embossed split leather, enfolding the user while defining the contours of the lounge chair. The combination of external split leather the soft fabric interior creates a dynamic contrast between the armchair's inner and outer faces.
