Taking inspiration from the French word “Lattes” is the sustainable Latte Armchair by Parisian based design studio AC/AL for Very Good & Proper.
Design duo Amandine Chhor and Aissa Logerot have created a comfortable and weather resilient outdoor chair due to its powder coated steel frame and Trifilon biocomposite seat. Meaning ‘wooden slats’ in French, the Latte Armchair was originally envisioned to be made with wood, but as the design developed, the longevity of plastic slats made for a more durable material.
Made from a biocomposite of 100% recycled polypropylene and hemp fibres, the seat of the chair is made from Trifilon plastic. At the end of its material life this allows for a closed-loop lifecycle as it can be easily detached from its tubular steel frame and recycled again. Available in a selection of complementary colours, the Latte is suitable for residential and contract use.
Also available without arms.
