The Muller Van Severen Rocking Chair is a modern reinterpretation of a classic for Valerie Objects.

Created for their first solo show, the Rocking Chair was inspired by childhood memories of evenings spent rocking by the fire. In their signature linear style and bold colour combinations, the duo has since produced a series of rockers that occupy a space between art and furniture design.

The chairs feature a welded steel or brass frame with a powder-coated finish, and a slung seat crafted from a choice of fabric or natural hide. The leather is tanned using traditional methods which allow it to develop a characteristic patina over time while retaining its supple feel.
