The Rodan Coffee Table from Pinch studio is inspired by the restraint and detailing of traditional shaker storage boxes.

The bentwood boxes were historically used by the religious sect to store small items and kitchen ingredients. A concept realised in a contemporary design, the Rodan table uses a single material formed into a simple shape. Its base is crafted from turned solid wood, the table top secured by a Shaker swallowtail lapper detail, originally conceived to allow the wood to expand and contract.
