The Muuto Fiber Bar Stool gets its name from the shell's material composition, comprising a mix of plastic and wood fibres.

The wood fibre lends the stool a unique texture which becomes more apparent the closer you get, giving the chair its individual character, and is beautifully contrasted by the stool's lightly splayed oak base. As a result, this Muuto stool provides practical seating with an understated identity.

The composite material was created by designers Iskos-Berlin following over a year of extensive research and testing, capable of embracing the curves of the shell while remaining 100% recyclable. The wood fibres are sourced by Muuto from pine trees in the same area of Sweden, which can provide variations in colour when only five hundred metres apart.
