The Muuto Fiber Armchair gets its name from the shell's material composition, comprising a mix of plastic and wood fibres.

The wood fibre lends the chair a unique texture which becomes more apparent the closer you get, giving the chair its individual character.

The composite material was created by designers Iskos-Berlin following over a year of extensive research and testing, capable of embracing the curves of the shell while remaining 100% recyclable. The resulting piece brings a new sense of warmth to the established plastic shell chair archetype, supported by solid oak legs.

The wood fibres are sourced from pine trees in the same area of Sweden, which can provide variations in colour when only five hundred metres apart. As such, every Muuto Fiber Armchair is unique.

• Seat Shell: Consists of a wood and plastic composition with up to 25% pine wood fibres, 70% PP
  (polypropylene) and 5% coloured PP in a choice of black, grey, dusty green, ochre or natural white.

• Base (ochre and white): Natural oak base.
