The Hiroshima Wide Armchair by Naoto Fukasawa has been created with a combination of Maruni's expert hand-craftsmanship and innovative woodworking technology.
Blending tradition and craft, the Hiroshima is created through advanced computer-aided routers, with each piece machine cut to ensure the perfect fit. Final details are completed by skilled craftsmen who sand the wood to its smooth finish.
The immaculately seamed joints of the Hiroshima Wide Armchair give the piece an almost hand-carved feel, and the entire chair is canted at an angle that inherently invites relaxation. The Hiroshima exudes a fresh aesthetic while recalling traditional Japanese chairs of the past.
Offered online in a selection of upholstery and wood finishes.
