The instantly recognisable Saarinen collection was originally released in 1958 and has been produced by Knoll ever since. In a concept that took over five years of development, Saarinen reduced the traditional four legs to a sculptural pedestal base.
The heavy, cast aluminium base is protected with Rilsan, a high-performance polymer resin. The beautiful marble tops are expertly made using a process that takes up to 12 weeks to complete, adhering to the exacting standards of the stone master. The edges of the tops are then hand-finished before being honed to a create a matte satin effect.
The Saarinen table is also available with an oval top, and can also be purchased as a side table.
