Inspired by a set of silk-covered Swedish pendant lights Nelson desired for his office but found too costly, he employed the use of a self-webbing polymer, originally developed by the U.S military, to create the lamp’s shade. The result is a sturdy and lightweight pendant lamp, producing an inviting ambient glow. A classic mid-century design, these lamps are part of the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection in New York.
Suited to residential or commercial environments, the Nelson Ball Bubble Pendant is available in three sizes; small, medium or large. Made of a steel-wire skeleton which is spray coated with an off-white self-webbing plastic polymer. Light source not included. Supplied with a 183cm cable.
Also available in Nelson Cigar Bubble Pendant, Nelson Saucer Crisscross Bubble Pendant and Nelson Saucer Bubble Pendant.
