A collaboration between Rietveld Originals x HAY, the contemporary Crate Lounge Sofa celebrates simplicity and spatial design.

Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld created the Crate series with the intention of using surplus wooden shipping crates. Respecting the original 1943 design, HAY have used the same balanced proportions and aesthetic to recreate the Crate Lounge Sofa.

Made from FSC certified solid pinewood and a water-based lacquered treatment, the chair is able to withstand outdoor conditions. Suitable for a variety of outdoor, residential and contract environments. Easy to install, requiring only screw assembly.

Dimensions: L.134.5 x W.77 x H.64.5 cm.
Seat height: 32 cm.
Available in London Fog, White, Black, Iron Red and Lacquered Pine colourways.
