With its angled metal frame and recycled seat, the AAS 38 stool from Hay has the most industrial expression of the About A Chair family.

The highly durable injection-moulded seat curves gently up at the back, providing comfort to the sitter while retaining its cohesive aesthetic. Its sled base, available in stainless steel or powder-coated in black or white - lends the stool a visual transparency.

Available in two heights, the low AAS 38 stool is suitable for the kitchen counter while the high is designed for bars and restaurants. For the upholstered version, please see the AAS 39, with the same clean aesthetic in high-quality Kvadrat fabrics. The shell of the chair is made from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic from household machines.
