Dutch designer Johan Van Hengel presents a seamless oak veneer lampshade with a continuous grain.
Simultaneously lightweight and opaque, the shade's characteristic seamless effect has been created using three semicircular layers of plywood that are cut in line with the wood's grain and then bent together. As the name suggests, the layers are aligned at a precise thirty-degree angle. The result looks natural but has in fact been engineered, leaving a shade that is rich in both visuals and tactility.
The 30 Degree Pendant Light is a fresh take on the archetypal conical light, with an inventive construction and an elegant woodgrain finish. It is available in three different sizes in natural matt lacquered. Cord included in price.
