The Hunting Chair takes cues from Medieval Spanish furniture, a theme that would appear frequently throughout Mogensen's catalogue of work.

Originally designed for an exhibition entitled 'A Hunting Lodge', it was the first time the designer had created a piece with a solid wood frame and a saddle leather seat and back. With a low seat raised less than thirty centimetres off the floor and its angled triangular frame, the Hunting Chair exudes relaxation, while its distinctive construction makes it a recognisable mid-century piece.
