Salvaged aluminium is paired with a range of finishes to create this contemporary and durable stool.
Designed by Jasper Morrison, the 1 Inch Stool taps into Emeco's long history of using recycled materials, with an aluminium base treated with their signature 77 step process involving forming, welding, grinding, heat-treating and anodising.
The process reshapes the material, which is inherently extremely resistant yet simultaneously lightweight.
The seat of the stool is offered in a range of finishes, from colourful wood polypropylene to reconstituted wood. Both are made from industrial waste that would otherwise be discarded, pushing the limits of sustainable furniture design while creating a versatile stool for the home or commercial environment.
