Named after the magician Harry Houdini, the Houdini Chair by Stefan Diez quickly reached iconic status thanks to its unique construction and distinctive, crisp aesthetic.

Its slender silhouette comprises numerous plywood shells that are manually bent and glued to a solid wood ring in a technique inspired by that of model aeroplane production. Requiring no screws or nails, the production process reveals the three-dimensional qualities of the plywood, resulting in a lightweight and well-proportioned chair for private and contract settings.

e15 offer the Houdini Chair in a range of natural wood and coloured lacquers to suit a diverse range of interiors. Also available in the Houdini family are the Houdini Armchair, Bessy Stool, Bessy Lounge Chair, Eugene Lounge Chair and Jean Stool.
