Backenzahn is German for molar tooth, referencing the stool's unique shape created by the tapered solid wood legs.

Articulated as separate elements, the legs are carved from the centre of the tree and develop their characteristic cracks as the wood seasons, making every piece unique.

Backenzahn can be found in a number of museum collections and has come to be known as an identifying e15 icon, and makes an ideal companion to e15's equally iconic Bigfoot Table.

Available with a flat or gently contoured concave top for use as either a side table or stool, it is available in the German design house's classic oiled solid oak. Delivered as one piece.
