Born in 1976 on the Island of Murano, Venice, designer Luca Nichetto was surrounded by the craftsmanship and history of the glass blowing industry for which the island is famed.
In fact, Nichetto's own grandfather was a master glassblower, and immersion in the creativity and spirit of this craft was a crucial influence on Nichetto's decision to study Industrial Design at Istituto Statale D'Arte Venezia.
Early in his career Nichetto collaborated with Italian lighting brand Foscarini, and it was from these foundations he established his own practice Nichetto & Partners in 2006.
In 2011 he made the move to Sweden where he opened a second office. Since then he has worked with several furniture and lighting companies including &Tradition. The practice has since expanded to encompass architecture and interior projects as well.
