After graduating she formed “Architektursalon Elvira” with Martin Wiedermann. She was a lecturer at the Technische Universität Berlin until 1998 when she left to become a freelance artist and designer.
In 2003 she founded Studio Oehringlux in collaboration with Frank Oehring. She has worked closely with a diverse range of manufacturers including e15 and Pastoe. Her pieces synergise influences of art, design and architecture. Their crisp planes create distinct geometric yet harmonious forms.
