Inspired by the moving sculptures of Alexander Calder, Bernard Schottlander's Mantis series has an inherent sense of dynamism.
Grounded with a circular steel base, the Mantis BS1B Floor Light cleverly utilises a counterweight, enabling it to be positioned in five points, while its stem can be rotated through a 360-degree angle. Its distinctively shaped aluminium shade is made using classic spinning and chasing techniques, and can also be angled to direct light according to your needs.
With its slender dimensions and considered lines, the Mantis BS1B light from DCW éditions makes for a contemporary floor lamp with an inherent sense of movement.
