House of Grey creates a future-facing workplace in the heart of London.
60 Ironmonger Row, an Edwardian warehouse conversion, exemplifies modern, sustainable design in the bustling Old Street district of London. This workplace harmoniously blends the historic charm of the building with forward-thinking design principles.
The interiors, designed by House of Grey, embody a vision for the future workspace—one that prioritises proven sustainability and an aesthetic that celebrates the building's rich heritage. The space exudes a sense of calmness, achieved through the thoughtful selection of materials and the integration of natural finishes, all while maintaining a neutral palette that enhances tranquility.
House of Grey’s design places a strong emphasis on the use of organic materials and multi-sensory design elements, known to enhance well-being. Sustainability was a guiding principle throughout, with the incorporation of reclaimed flooring, earthy terracotta tiles, hand-spun wool rugs, and innovative sliding panels made from bio-materials.
This cohesive environment was brought to life through the clever use of functional and natural materials, seamlessly linking the architecture with the carefully chosen furniture. Notable pieces from manufacturers such as Emeco, Andreu World, &Tradition, 101 Copenhagen and Noom were selected to complement the space’s design ethos.
Viaduct was delighted to assist House of Grey with the supply and delivery of furniture and lighting.
