Inhabit Hotel, London - Holland & Harvey

Inhabit Hotel is a restoration project like no other, found in the heart of London's Paddington. The client enlisted design practice Holland & Harvey to transform a row of Grade II listed Georgian Townhouses into a modern wellness oasis.

To foster a sense of community amongst guests Holland & Harvey decided to open up space, adapting the layout to a more historically accurate form. This blending of front and back of house encourages guests to make full use of the Wellness programme during their stay which offers morning meditations, daily yoga and mindfulness classes.

Sustainability is at the heart of Inhabit's mission and this fed through to every design decision the practice made. During the build, the designers saved over three tonnes of materials from landfill. They also worked with companies such as Goldfinger Factory on joinery and enlisted the help of Viaduct to source socially conscious furniture with a Scandinavian aesthetic to complement the Georgian detailing.
