Part of Hans Wegner's debut collection for Carl Hansen and Son in 1950, the CH22 Lounge Chair unites comfort and simplicity in a modern expression.

Crafted in solid oak or walnut, the CH22's straightforward appearance masks complex manufacturing processes that use precise and sophisticated joinery, evident in the finger joined corners of the seat frame. A distinctive, organically shaped veneer back features oblong wooden cover caps, a signifying detail of the Carl Hansen range.

The envelope woven paper cord seat is created entirely by hand, a further testament to Hans Wagner's focus on honest, high-quality craftsmanship, and designs that create an experience in simple modern living. The CH22 is also available as a dining chair, the CH26.
