Founded in Spain back in 1947, Treku was established by carpenter Jesús Aldabaldetreku in the small costal town of Zarautz. Known for its specialist fishing boat constructions, the Basque Country town achieved worldwide fame for its woodworking craftsmanship.

Now managed by Aldabaldetreku's grandchildren, Xabier and Gorka Aldabaldetreku, Muebles Treku continues to create classic and conscientious furniture in its modern factory in the picturesque Olaa region of Zarautz.
