Designer Hee Welling dedicated nearly a year to researching the right materials for &Tradition's Rely Chair.

“When it comes to the environment, we want to do the best job possible with the best materials available.” - Hee Welling.

Renowned for his minimalistic approach to design, Welling wished to create a chair that met a strict list of criteria. It would be crafted solely from sustainable materials, be easy to dismantle for replacing parts, and of course be comfortable for the sitter.

The latest addition to the Rely series is the HW79 armchair with a solid wood base. Available in lacquered oak or lacquered walnut, it provides a more organic looking option for contract and residential environments.
