Using Tibetan wool and a historic hand knotting technique, the design for the Semis Rug by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec spent two years in the making.

Together with Kvadrat Rugs (formerly Danskina), the French designer brothers have produced a complex piece which utilises sheer artisan craftsmanship, requiring multiple weavers to work together over a long period of time. The handmade construction produces varying densities and heights across the Semis Rug's surface, giving each piece a unique tactility and a personal touch.

The end product is presented as a distinctive rectangular shape with cut off corners and choice of four different designs in monochromatic colourways. Please note that due to the handcrafted nature of the rug, some irregularities may occur.
